Booking your tour with Tihay Tours is simple. Fill out our booking form to choose a group or private tour. After submitting, you'll receive confirmation within 48 hours. A €200 deposit per person via bank transfer is required to secure your spot. This goes toward your total tour cost.
The remaining balance (minus deposit) is paid in cash upon arrival in Djanet. Since Algeria is a cash-based economy, cash is preferred. Bank transfer options are available by request.

We offer bivouac-style desert camping. You’ll sleep in tents with mattresses and blankets. While not luxury, the setting under the stars provides a magical experience of “a thousand stars.”

No formal toilets exist during the tours. Guests use the outdoors. Biodegradable toilet paper is encouraged for those who prefer it.
Alcohol is not prohibited but must be consumed respectfully and privately. It is not widely available in Algeria, so bring your own if desired.
No internet or cellular service is available in the desert. This disconnection helps you immerse fully in the experience.

Book with Tihay and we assist with a visa on arrival through travel authorization. You'll pay the visa fee at the airport. Documents will be issued via our partner agency Rêves et Nature.
Fly to Djanet via Algiers or Paris. Book early. Options may include other Algerian cities. Flights are by Air Algérie or Tassili Airlines. Most flights arrive at night, so arrive the day before your tour starts.
